Carthage Jail Visit 2017

It burns within me, my testimony of the man.
I have walked where he walked
I have seen the window where he fell
I have felt the assurance in my heart that he was a man of truth and goodness.

I feel it now, the truth that brings me to tears
The sorrow that fills my heart thinking of that fateful day in 1844
And I am more grateful than ever that he restored the truthfulness of the gospel.
That because of him, I have the knowledge that I have
The covenants that bind me to my Savior, my Heavenly Father, my husband and family.
He sealed his testimony with the blood of his martyrdom.

Truly, Joseph Smith did more, save Jesus Christ only, for the salvation of our souls
Than did any other man on the earth.

Praise to the man.
Praise to the truth.

I cherish this testimony I have of the prophet Joseph.

Disneyland 2017!

Well there are low points and high points if you are brave enough to take your little ones to Disneyland. But I can tell you right now, those magical moments where time freezes and everything is perfect when your 3-year old meets her favorite Disney characters...those moments certainly make it all worth it.

A shout out to my former BYU dance partner Matty Thatcher, who really hooked us up and saved the day countless times for my family. Not only did he get my family in for one free day, he found discount tickets for our regular day passes, got us VIP seating to his show Mickey and the Magical Map, along with Frozen, Disney Junior on Stage, and Tangled! Not to mention he took the girls a few times so that Jon and I could ride Splash Mountain, Indiana Jones, and the new Car Racers ride. On top of all of that, he asked another staff member to walk us on to Peter Pan (have you seen that line??), the kid train, and Finding Nemo! What a gem! Disney is magical but even more magical when you literally WALK onto a ride and you don't have to wait in line. ;)

These memories of my babies and my dreamboat hubby I have to document so I can keep them forever. :) I am the luckiest.
